The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the team has released veteran defensive tackle Marcus Adams.

A post on Adams' Twitter account Tuesday read "thanks everybody for saying good things about me, I hope to keep playing for a couple more years….So any takers???????"

Adams played with the Riders for the past eight seasons after signing with the team as a free agent.

In 84 regular season games, Adams tallied 129 defensive tackles, 12 quarterback sacks, five tackles for a loss and three fumble recoveries.
