A fire that destroyed a nearly 100-year-old community landmark in Leask last week is being called "suspicious" by the RCMP.

The Windsor Hotel went up in flames just before 3 a.m. February 9th. The building's owner, who was asleep at the time, managed to escape unharmed. Fire crews from Leask, Shellbrook and Blaine Lake worked through the night to battle the blaze.

Blaine Lake RCMP Sgt. John Redlich says the detachment has received a number of leads from the public.
